Blowing up an egg in a microwave
WARNING: Do not try this at home! Somehow, we got on the subject of dropping things off of buildings and blowing things up in a microwave. Well, after trying many things suggesed and dropped off by listeners, we went for the egg. WOW!!

Katrina damaged New Orleans
A local guardsman that was activated for duty in hurricane ravaged New Orleans sent us these pictures:

The load out
Beardstown National Honor Society students helped prepare the school supplies for loading into a semi. Due to Hurricane Rita, the shipment of supplies has been delayed until a later date. But, the semi was loaded and the contents will be stored in a Chicago area warehouse until a later time.

Kraming the K100 Van For Katrina Victims
You came through in marvelous fashion! Here we are loading NTN/Bower's box truck, unloading it in Beardstown. Also, some photos are of the Tiger students packing in anticipation of the semi truck's arrival. That semi will be taking the collected school supplies to the Katrina victims displaced to Houston schools.

Chris & Beau go to school
K100 has adopted Miss Morris' first grade class at Lincoln School in Macomb. Chris & Beau had a blast reading a couple of stories and telling the students all about radio!

Beau takes flight ... shatters his previous height record of the 18th floor at the St. Louis Marriott.
Al Reusch offered to help Beau break his comforting bonds with the earth to fly high above Macomb and northern McDonough County! Hey, Mikey! He likes it!

Maybe we could caulk your bathtub

This is a Cooking With Beau attempt gone wrong... but possibly a chemistry attempt gone surprisingly right.

It finally happened! Chris does karaoke!
Beau broke the seal several months ago and finally roped Chris into displaying his er ... uh ...singing? talents.

Chris is a proud Astros Fan!
Remember when Chris auctioned his Major League Baseball allegiance away from the Cubs to whomever the winning bidder chose as Chris' new favorite team. The stipulation of the auction was Chris had to use a portion of the auction proceeds to purchase some memorabilia to signify the switch. Well, Chris is now officially an Astros fan!

K100 Administrative Assistant's Day at the Amerihost Inn
Chris, Beau and the rest of the K100 Krew had a blast dressing up (yeah, they NEVER dress this nicely) and treating the women there like queens for a day.

Chris hangs with Miss Morris' class at Lincoln School
Chris spent some time with Miss Morris' first grade class and

Our First-Ever Retro Skate Party
We had a BLAST! And apparently, a whole bunch of you did, too. Check out how much fun we had:

Beau celebrates Tar Heel win
Apparently, Mr. Spencer doesn't realize he's from Illinois. He rooted against the Fighting Illini in the NCAA Championship game. After the North Carolina victory, he sneaked past security and broke into the K100 studio to decorate it in the Tar Heel colors. Pretty, ain't it?

Beau sings karaoke incognito
Yep... that's Beau on the left in his 70s getup. i-i-i-i, stayin' alive, stayin' alive, i-i-i-i.... On the right is "Puke" ... his highschool buddy.

Valentine's Day Winner!
Congratulations to our winner of our K100 Valentine's Day Big Kiss Giveaway, Jennifer Parmer of Macomb. Jennifer called in when she heard the kiss and qualified for the grand prize. We called her husband, Joseph, and told him not to tell. He did. We're not on speaking terms with Joseph anymore. (Okay... we're not really that mad at him.)

A girl named Shevy
Shevy Smith, a singer-songwriter out of Nashville stopped by the studios prior to a show on Western's Campus.

Beau's road rash
Kids. Always remember to keep your hands and feet inside a moving car at all times until it comes to a complete stop or this can happen to you:

Macomb Fire Department responds to the studios
The smell of smoke prompted a 911 call to the studios which turned out to be nothing more than a hot, leaking light ballast. Despite the fact the "emergency" was on a Thursday, the smoke had nothing to do with "Cooking With Beau."

...This is our van on deer
Here was Beau's attempt at killing Bambi while driving in the station van Fall of 2004

Beau's Halloween costume
Do not look at this photo if you are frightened by mullets or Beau's bare legs.

Beau cooks hotdogs!
On National Hotdog Day, Beau fired up the grill on the sidewalk and invited listeners to come by and taste Beau's culinary talents. (How brave they were!)

But the boy can eat!
Despite dropping the pounds, Beau is still somehow able to stuff his face.

Fat Beau Slim
We've talked about Beau back in his Old Fat Elvis days. Here's a picture:

Beau at Digger's for "Bowl For Kids' Sake"
Beau helped out the cause of Big Brothers & Big Sisters of McDonough County and their fundraiser "Bowl For Kids Sake." Beau got to even roll the ceremonial first ball. Good thing it didn't count!

Chris & Beau at Block Party
We had a lot of fun playing games on stage and giving away some great prizes. Check out these contestants playing our marshmallow game!
